Meet Rachel
Rachel is of Yaqui and Cahuilla Indian ancestry; born in Spain to Air Force parents--the youngest of nine children. She was raised in Northern California, but spent the majority of my adulthood in the Greater Philadelphia Area. Currently she is providing clinical massage therapy in Norman, Oklahoma.
She is licensed to practice massage in the state of Oklahoma and has been nationally certified since 2004 by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage
& Bodywork (NCBTMB). Dually enrolled, she graduated from Harcum Junior College and The Pennsylvania School of Muscle Therapy. She received an Associates of Science degree, Master Body Worker Certification including Corrective Medical Massage.
Rachel achieved Certification in Medical Massage (CMMT) in April 2021.
She was a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) from 2004-2021. Rachel was on the AMTA-Oklahoma Board from 2019-2021. During her time on the board, she volunteered as Government Relations Chair and Communications Chair.
In 2021 Rachel became a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
She moved from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma in 2014, opening a practice for the first time as a sole proprietor. In Pennsylvania, she had practiced therapeutic massage in employee wellness programs and fitness centers, but primarily alongside a respected chiropractic physician, Dr. Karen Kurtas P.C.
